Welcome to my little jump off point on the interwebs. I’m currently residing in the Bay Area, CA., working on new music, a new video podcast, music production, and taking some time to focus on the ever important aspects of mental health. Sometimes it is best to be still, reflect, and rebuild.
While you’re here, please feel free to connect with me in any of the ways you see fit, and for any inquiries regarding my song shop, booking a show, or playing/officiating/MCing/DJing your wedding, please send me an email using the link at the bottom of the page.
Words worth sharing:
“I don’t feel like I ever really chose to be in the music industry. I feel like it kind of chose me. I played trombone in band class until I was 16 years old, then I picked up a guitar. At the same time, a good friend of mine also picked up a guitar, another friend picked up drums, and we formed a band.”
Recording artist, Brent Walsh, was recently featured in an exclusive online interview to discuss his success in the music industry. After obtaining a post-secondary education from the University of California, Brent eventually went on to pursue a career as a professional musician. With extensive industry-related experience, Brent provides insight into many of the challenges he faced early on in his endeavors.
Inspiration is different for everyone. What creates passion and curiosity in one person may seem boring to another. Finding inspiration when writing a song can be especially difficult if the emotion isn’t strong enough. Most musicians write from a place of empathy. By caring deeply about other people, audience members are more likely to connect to the song in addition to the musician. Personal ideas and relationships are often the first to be written down.
